The Centre for Insurance, Risk and Data Analytics Studies (CIRDAS) was created by South East Technological University (SETU) Carlow Lifelong Learning (LLL), Insurtech Network Centre (INC) and our Higher education institute (HEI) partner in Atlantic Technology University Letterkenny (ATU).
We are funded by the Higher education authority (HEA) and our aim is to become the education partner of choice for the insurance/financial services sector providing bespoke, subsidised and accredited education from masterclass through to Level 9 major awards.

Our Expertise
Damian Rossiter
Damian is the programme and development manager for CIRDAS initiative having joined the team in 2021 and has over 15 years commercial experience covering sectors such as corporate banking, debt recovery, online tech platforms and environmental statistical validation & reporting.
He has worked for many years in Dublin and on secondments to New York with AIB has also worked with AIB/EBS NAMA, Cartrawler and contracted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He also has over 5 years lecturing experience with WIT and IT Carlow in the areas of business, economics and data.
An honours graduate of WIT (BBs-Econ & Finance, MBS-‘An assessment of the value added by VC’s from the investee firms perspective’) and UCD (Msc- iBusiness), he enjoys almost all sports, is an avid reader, occasional fisherman, big Wexford GAA fan as well as an enthusiastic hacker on the golf course.
